Are You Ready?

Are You Ready?

End of February in Missouri - it is likely wishful thinking to believe that spring has arrived. However, one certainty is that after a long winter, motocross season is upon us. Like too many other years, it seems that this has somehow caught us unprepared. Yes, dates have been on the calendar, but that does not mean we are ready. With the first race less than a week away, we finally had new tires, needed since last summer, installed on the RV. Even though it was purchased last early fall, the fun of installing a new rear tire on the bike was put off until last night. And oh, that front trailer hitch needed to pull the RV through 8” of mud in “less than ideal racing conditions” was planned this time last year, but has not yet been ordered. What about physical fitness…working out these last two weeks (and wrestling a bike tire install) will not ensure the physical fitness needed for motos. These examples are less than proud moments of preparedness. We know that we should have been better prepared. How prepared are you for the motocross season? The even more important question is how prepared are we spiritually for everyday life? Does the busyness of life keep you from being prepared? Life, as we are accustomed, can be changed in the blink of an eye. Too often we are unprepared with known schedules, how do we deal with the unknown schedule God has for us? We are truly blessed. We have a loving God that has given us another day to become spiritually prepared. It is our choice if we take the opportunity, or risk not being ready. I challenge you to take the steps to get ready and stay ready for all which God has in store for you this year.
