Brian Wikstrom carries double duty when it comes to FCA Motocross. He serves as a Board Chairman and the Minnesota Camp Dean.
How long have you been with FCA MX and how did you get involved?
I have been involved in FCA Motocross for six years. I was invited to be a huddle assistant my first year and loved serving it that capacity. Year two I was asked to be a huddle leader and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. Then year three I was asked to consider being the dean of the camp and by God’s grace and mercy I have filled that position since.
You double as an board chairman and a camp dean all while balancing your full-time job. What keeps you working with the ministry?
What motivates me is impacting young people in their faith. FCA presents the gospel and gives children and adults the opportunity to accept the gift of salvation through camps. Not only that, but FCA has resources available to help a young Christian grow in their faith walk through school huddles, written resources, and encouragement from the body of Christ.
What's your favorite FCA memory?
Day three at camp watching the Holy Spirit convict and draw the hearts of kids to accept Jesus as their personal savior and Lord.
Where is the coolest place that you have traveled with the ministry?
Indianapolis to the FCA VIP Supercross experience. (Interested in learning more about the FCA VIP Experience? Click HERE!)
Favorite Bible verse?
One of my favorites is Proverbs 3:6 ("In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy paths.")
When you're not at work what is your favorite thing to do?
I love to ride snowmobile in the mountains and spend time with my family.
What's your New Year's resolution?
My word for the year is “bold”. So my resolution is to be more bold in speaking out loud about my walk with Jesus.
