FCA Motocross Welcomes New Administrative Assistant

With the location of the FCA Motocross/ Offroad office relocating from Indiana to Minnesota, Gina Woodyard was welcomed to our team as Administrative Assistant this past September.  Gina has already jumped into her role with great ease. Her love for God and helping others has been a blessing to our staff and volunteers. She has been such a huge help in the process of relocating and reorganizing into FCA MX new headquarters!

We sat down with Gina to ask her a few questions to get to know her better:

Favorite Bible verse?

Jude 24 – My hope rests only on Christ and what He has done for me!

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

What is your favorite FCA MX ministry moment so far?

After I accepted the administrative job, Donita invited me to go visit the MN camp. I brought my two boys and it was a joy to see the look on their faces as they watched the racers and got to hang out at meals and in huddle groups. I am thankful that my older son seemed to make the connection that having fun and worshiping Jesus do not have to be separate, and that there are ‘cool’ Godly men and women to look up too. Our culture is full of bad influences, and I am so thankful that FCA Motocross is putting positive, Christ-centered role models in front of kids and their families.

How was your family introduced to FCA motocross?

Through Donita and Jimmy. We met through church about 5 years ago, and have always enjoyed hearing more about the ministry and how they are reaching the motocross world for Christ through FCA.

How many years have you been with FCA and how did you get involved?

I just starting working in September!

If you were a super-hero, what power would you have?

Do I have to pick just one?? Probably super speed – imagine the possibilities!

Tell us about your family and your favorite Christmas traditions?

For many years, we have lived far away for extended family, so our Christmas season is usually filled with traveling to see family in Kentucky. It is always such a joy to see as many people as we can during those short visits. The driving is not always fun or safe (navigating winter storms from Minnesota), but the reward of time with friends and family makes it worth it!

Where are you from and where do you currently live?

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. I moved to Kentucky at age 13. Moved a few different places since being married in 2004, but now we are settled in Northfield, MN.

Tell us a few more details about yourself (i.e. spouse, kids, other ministries you are involved with other than FCA)

I am married to Jonathon (since Dec 2004). We have two sons, Calvin (8), Caleb (4). My husband is a pastor and we are currently planting a church in Northfield, MN.

If you had to choose a favorite racer, who would you pick?

I have no idea ;)

Editor’s Note: It’s OK, I have started her a list on who to look out for this year :)

 WELCOME TO THE TEAM GINA!!
