TEAM COACHES

Our team coaches are our volunteer/staff leaders in a certain state heading up trackside ministry on behalf of FCA MX. Please contact them if you are interesting in getting more involved or just want to ask questions.

FCA MX Motocross Teams

"All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it." 1 Cor 12:27

 FCA Motocross Teams
WHY? You need to be connected to a family of believers so you can fulfill your calling to serve other believers and nonbelievers in practical ways. Your service is desperately needed in the Body of Christ - just ask any church or FCA MX Team. Each of us has a role to play, and every role is important. There is no small service to God; it all matters. God calls you to a service far beyond anything you could ever imagine. He created you for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for you to do. Eph 2:10 Whenever you serve others in any way then you are actually serving God.

A TEAM is 2 or more huddles doing trackside ministry through planning and having targeted topics to study within a unique team setting/environment that encourages and challenges team members to live and compete according to biblical principles. The team would take donations, have their own funds account (held within the FCA MX office), vote on officers and plan ministry.

Is this a typical mx race team? No. This is not a team in the sense that the ministry pays for the racers to race in any manner. This is a team in the sense that families are agreeing to go to the races like-minded: to SHARE Him boldly, to SEEK Him passionately, to LEAD others faithfully and to LOVE others unconditionally.

When should a team be put in place? When there is a 2nd huddle established in a certain area. The “win” of TEAMS is to see the people on the team impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Therefore, creating a foundation of families committed to seeing a CAMP take place.

Who should lead the Team as Team Coach? Someone who has a passion for the lost and is called from God should lead the team. Ideally it would be great if it were a Huddle Coach moving to Team Coach status in order to concentrate on a bigger area and group of families.

How will I be equipped to lead in FCA? As one of our volunteer leaders, we will connect you with a veteran coach and put you in one of our Coaches Bible Studies (phone call once or more a month with other coaches). You will fill out a Ministry Leadership Application online and will walk through and sign our expectations of a Coach. Our Executive Ministry Subcommittee have come up with 12 topics for the monthly team meetings. We are working on creating 100 motocross devotions and creating other resources – see below.

How often should the team get together? A team is a group of families in a state that are too far away from each other geographically to get together on a regular basis. The timing of getting together is up to the Huddle Coaches, but for reference quarterly would be a best practice.

What resources are available? www.fcaresources.com has a list of icebreakers, videos and devotionals to use for your team time. Our Executive Ministry Subcommittee has come up with 12 topics to discuss throughout the year. The team coach should be empowering and equipping Huddle Coaches to share these topics each month. Contact the FCA MX office for a typical team agenda and some ideas.
